The Alamosa Valley Courier and Monte Vista group of weekly newspapers, part of Blackbird Newspapers, are looking for a visionary Advertising Director to drive revenue growth and strategy in the San Luis Valley. This is a rare opportunity to shape the future of local media while enjoying the unmatched beauty and community spirit of Southern Colorado.

What You’ll Do:

• Develop and execute multi-platform advertising strategies (print, digital, social)
• Lead, mentor, and motivate a sales team to exceed revenue goals
• Build lasting relationships with local businesses and community partners
• Drive innovation in marketing solutions to grow readership and advertiser success

What We’re Looking For:

• A proven leader in advertising sales, media, or marketing
• Strong communication, organization, and strategic thinking skills
• A creative, entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for local journalism
• Experience managing budgets, pipelines, and performance metrics

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary in the low $50Ks (commensurate with experience)
